We listed top live-action movies that you need to watch right now.
1. Taken
2008 Action/Crime
Taken takes us through the journey of Mills (played by Liam Neeson) on a one-man rescue mission to save his 17-year old daughter, Kim, who has been kidnapped by an Albanian and auctioned off to an Arab sheik. Mills uses his CIA contacts to extract intelligence on the possible whereabouts of his daughter’s kidnapper and learns that he only has 96 hours to rescue her. Thus begins an action-fueled adventure that will give any parent their daily dose of nightmare fuel.
The film asks its audience to believe that Bryan’s violent actions in the pursuit of his daughter are more than just rampant barbarism, something akin to justice and vengeance. Although the plot of the movie is fairly predictable, Taken deserves credit for creating awareness on human trafficking, a subject that needs more press coverage.

2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
1991 Action/Sci-fi
Directed by James Cameron, Terminator 2: Judgment Day explores the relationship between humans and machines, and what could happen if artificial intelligence acquires ‘conscience’. That mission failed, and so, two terminators travel back from the future: A good Terminator played by Schwarzenegger, who is tasked to protect Connor, and a bad one, played by Robert Patrick, whose mission is to kill him. To the audience’s horror, the liquid-metal android, the T-1000 is near-invincible and absolutely unrelenting in his singular goal to wipe out John Connor. The key element of what makes this highly predictable action flick so successful is the villain – he just keeps on coming no matter what.
